Just set the proper settings for style of cooking and it will sauté, braise, stir, and go back & forth throughout stages and hold temperatures when done. Also get very hot for searing. It has a large capacity and is built tough. Can't wait to order more for family.

   Great appliance. Wish they had made this 30 years ago. Would have saved me 1/2 of a lifetime to do other things I wanted to instead of standing over a stove and stirring food for so long. Great heat level. Versatility in soups, stews, ground meats, jams, jellies, even making lemon curd which I just found the recipe and realize it's easy to make. One of the slow cookers would do good on making the lemon curd also. I buy a lot of kitchen equipment from Amazon. Great descriptions of equipment. Works well and the way they say it will. It helps me cook more restaurant-like meals with healthier ingredients. My new one is Monk Fruit which I bought on Amazon to bring down sugar levels and is helping me feel better each day! I am thinking about sending different family members this. Young women with 2 and 3 babies - I'd loved this when I had my young children. I get so many great items here at Amazon -- I just love it! Glad you have this review board to share with others. It makes us a better, stronger, nation! :-)

   I'm able to set it and forget it until the timer goes off and very little cleanup is everything's contained within the pan / bowl and I will be trying different things that are not on the recipe book but I'm wondering if eggs and hash browns will be able to be made in this. start doing breakfast with this now

   I find it easy to use. It is easy to clean. I hand
   wash but you can put it in the dish washer.
   It is nice because it self stirs you food in the pot.
   The value for the money is on the high side though
   it is heavy duty and well made so I guess thats
   their reasoning.

   I have had the PowerXL stirmax for a little over a week now and have used it 3 times. I love it. It is easy to clean and although some people have mentioned that food may get stuck in the corners, I check it a few times to make sure every bit of food is being stirred and cooked appropriately. Some people have also mentioned that they had a hard time putting the big pot back on the plate, I originally noticed that but, I simply locate the metal piece that connects the plate to the pot and make sure they are both in the same direction and it connects very quickly. I also bought the one with all the other things, another pot, steam, strainer. I haven't had a chance to use those just yet but absolutely love this device. I saw it advertised when it first came out and saw the price and that you had to go through their site to purchase it and passed, since then I looked for it on Amazon and looked at the price and bought it. It has a large capacity, the device is made out of quality materials, it is not heavy and it fits nicely under my cabinet.

   This is one of my favorite utinsels in the kitchen. It stirs so I don't have to watch the food constantly or stir so food doesn't burn. Plus pause stir or not stir at all. Steams, and has several other presets like for rice or stews etc. It's a great value and well worth the price. It's a very generous size and a big spoon sits on the lid handle. It's a quality made pan and I highly recommend.

   This has been a real time saver. I add chopped onions and let them stir and sauté while I’m preparing other ingredients. I’ve used it as a slow cooker for a 3 lb. turkey breast, which came out very moist. I’ve made chili in it and also some ground chicken meatballs. The cleanup is so easy, too. I would definitely recommend this product.

   The main reason I bought the Stirmax was for roasting nuts - macadamia, pecans, cashews, etc. I put the nuts in the unit and spray some avocado oil on them. Set the temperature at 350 degrees, slow stir, and set the time for approx 30 minutes. When finished dump the roasted nuts on a paper towel and immediately season them (I like using sour cream & onion popcorn seasoning and a little popcorn salt if needed). Let them cool and you have a delicious snack. Highly recommend this instead of using a pan on the stove. BTW, I tried making soup in the Stirmax and that worked well too.

   I like to make a lot of soups but my friends always request my chili. I’m always making pots of chili for that reason. When I saw this I felt like it would be great because you have to stir chili a lot. This is has made making chili much more of an easier task. I can cook everything in the pot and it stirs it as well. The first pot I made came out great. Then I tried it with making clam chowder and it made it so much easier. Then my specialty seafood soup and it work great as well. I haven’t tried with anything other than soup but that mostly what I got it for. It’s been a time saver for me. I’m goin to try it for paella next and see how that works. It cleans up very well also.
