I love this gimbal. It takes a bit to learn all its functions but, once learned, can do a ton of cool stuff including two types of panoramic. Small and light weight. Smooth tracking. Easy to operate. Definitely improves video quality. Gave one to a friend - he loves it, too.

My husband just started making YouTube videos and wanted this gimbal while recording on the go. It’s amazing how it follows you when you move around! One thing he couldn’t get to work though was the multifunctional module that tracks you remotely. The light on the unit was constantly red, and none of the hand signals to activate it worked. Assuming it was incompatible with his iPhone 15, he was ready to return it and buy the cheaper Osmo model without this unit (though the loss of the light would have been disappointing), when he decided to try it one last time. He hadn’t yet opened the DJI Mimo app and noticed the light was green on the module for once. So instead of opening the app, he opened the iPhone’s camera, and suddenly, the module worked! It responded to all the hand signals and tracked him effortlessly.

So if you’re having trouble using the multifunctional module, DO NOT USE THE DJI APP. Just use your normal phone camera app. It’s obvious now in the instructional video that they aren’t using the DJI app with it, but it doesn’t say that anywhere. Hope this helps someone else avoid a return! Now he just has to find a way to attach his wireless mic to the unit, and he’s good to go.

I absolutely LOVE this gimbal! I use it at every swim meet for my daughter, who is a competitive swimmer, and it’s now a key part of my vlogging and content creation setup. The stabilization is fantastic ,even when I’m walking around the pool, the footage stays incredibly smooth. I just got this because I got an iPhone 15 and I’m trying to start making YouTube videos as a beginner. I have to say this gamble feels premium and is extremely nice. The active tracking works flawlessly and is amazing the hand signs to make it stop recording and start recording works perfect. The only problem I have is it takes some getting used to if you’ve never had a gamble before it’s not like you can just throw your phone in this thing and start making quality content with an iPhone I mean you can, but it takes some getting used to to learn all the different modes. Other than that personal issue, this thing is amazing and is premium.

Between it being a compact tripod and a gimbal, it does the job.

My only irques are tracking is a little delayed following you, vertical controls are limited, and weight balance seems to be off with the attachment resulting in an unstable setup when tripod mode with the short legs. Any wind and it's tipping over.

I tried doing a walk through of an apple orchard and with the nub/stick to control the angle, the phone would easily be rotated down towards the grass, but barely let me control it to go above horizontal if I wanted to capture more of the sky. That said the vertical controls were when the phone was landscape and not portrait. There didn't seem to be any physical limitation to the phone rotating to capture more of the sky. I could physically change the angle but the motors would slowly drop the phones angle to horizontal.

Still giving it a 5/5, my 'irques' are perhaps limitations of the gimbal being so compact. Would recommend and even buy again.

I was about to return this item because I had followed all the set up instructions and tutorials that are provided but was having TERRIBLE stabilization issues. Unfortunately, the videos provided through Mimo are not very in depth. In desperation I did a YouTube search for tutorials and set up, and within less than 10min I had figured out what my issue was. This is my 1st gimbal so if you're like me and having issues, check YouTube before returning. I definitely want to keep it now. The only true problem I have found outside poor instructions is that the zoom wheel is VERY sensitive and you can easily bump it mid shot.

DjI made a really fun gimbal. I MEAN! I enjoy playing with it and learning all it can do. When I first got it I found a fun YOUTUBE beginners guide video to watch as I unboxed it. The real time tutorial made it fun and easy to learn. Great start for the beginning content creator. Tips on making great videos and editing as well. I LOVE THIS THING. The tracking feature blew my MIND. I coupled this with the AMAZING HOLLYLAND LARK M2S microphone and......GAME OVER! DjI microphones are good but the HOLLYLAND LARK M2S mic's are smaller and less noticeable. Buy this gimbal you will not be disappointed ;-D

For the cost and the fact I’m still on a learning curve impressive.
As for what came in the box, the company most definitely should include the cable for an Apple IPhone as well, instead of the purchaser having to buy yet another component that should have been included in the purchase of the P7.

I have had the 7th generation DJI Osmo Mobile gimbal, known as the 7P, and I can confidently say it's the most significant advancement in any generation of DJI gimbals I've experienced. The best part is that it allows you to enjoy most of the benefits of tracking without being restricted to DJI's app. DJI wisely chose to invest in a hardware solution for tracking, resulting in the impressive 7P.

With the 7P, I can use other high-quality video recording apps on my iPhone, such as the Blackmagic Camera or Kino, while still taking full advantage of the gimbal’s features.
