The DJI Neo is the best affordable miniature FPV drone that is also AI powered. It's super fun to fly with the DJI FPV Controller 3 or DJI Motion Controller 3 and the DJI Goggles 3. The video quality is really good and tranfers easily to the DJI Fly app. I highly recommend thus drone!

I am a rookie when it comes to drones so I wanted something beginner friendly and easy to learn. This was perfect. Small simple great video quality and works just as described! Worth the price!

Camera quality is alright, considering what it is. This thing is so easy to fly, and loaded with features. Battery life is not the greatest but this thing is barely bigger than the palm of your hand, the performance is outstanding, can’t believe I waited so long to pick one up.

My daughter loves this thing after a single trip to the park with it. She says it is way cooler than mine because she gets to run around and do her backhand springs and stuff rather than control the drone; whereas I prefer flying the bigger frames. Rating based on daughter’s enjoyment.

The tiny props produce a truly awful sound but it is so small the sound kinda helps you keep track of it.

The Neo is a great drone to have with you on a vacation to take pictures and videos of it. This is our second DJI drone which we enjoy using on our trips. The only problem I have is how it was delivered. USPS threw the package over the fence at my home on the sidewalk.

I've used it quite a bit for tracking, since I cycle and it does quite well. I also use it for tracking when hiking, which I highly recommend. Excellent product quality, but keep in mind that it has difficulty flying in strong winds.

Like most folks who get the Neo, this is my first drone. I got the RC2 controller with it too. Yes, the RC cost me more than the drone, but the extended range and storage, AND the fact that it's compatible with several other DJI drones made it 100% worth it to me. This drone is freakin AWESOME! It makes it very easy to learn how to pilot these things, and it's pretty tough. I've crashed it multiple times and it just keeps on keepin on! The camera takes really good photos and video. I love it! I even bought a second one on Prime Day, saving $40! If you're new to drones like me, I cannot recommend this enough. Just watch some YT vids and I'm sure you'll agree.

It's a great drone for simple tasks or just for quick fun shots. It is very compact and you can even use it without a controller. Camera features, range and speed are going to be limited without a proper controller.

Since it is very small and light, it is pretty hard to stabilize with windy weather. Also, it is definitely not going to perform good on low light or dark conditions. It only has 2 sensors on the bottom to scan the surface for landing purposes. If you try to force the limits of this drone I can guarantee you'd lose it by hitting a tree or falling a ditch somewhere. I think getting the fly more combo is a must because I got less than 10 minutes of flight time on each battery. Battery life varies by the conditions of wind and altitude you are flying. Lastly, I think video quality is pretty good for the size of a drone like this and DJI has pretty good app to quick view of what you shot.

Awesome product! I got it for my husband for our anniversary and the entire family has enjoyed it in a few short weeks. We have explored and played with it every day. Picture quality is so clear! My daughter now bought it and everyone wants the link.

Wish I bought this one first! So easy to fly, its auto modes make capture easy on the go, hiking or the likes. It can struggle with overhangs like trees above, but in the open you can't go wrong. I live in high winds and it does well most of the time, occasionally it will be pushed, but it trys really hard to be solid and usually succeeds. For learning drones and practice, you can't beat it. It is very durable as I have crashed numerous times without damage.

Definitely recommend getting a controller with this. The USB-C on my phone was a little dirty and the RCN3 I have didn't seem to want to connect, so I ended up cleaning it with a small straight dental pick and it worked perfectly fine afterwards.

I'm so happy I got the controller after using my phone for so long. Although it doesn't feel as smooth to control (I'm only 2 weeks in after all), the range is absolutely insane and the ability to adjust the camera settings and even have differents speeds is just perfect.

Unfortunately, I just did the dumbest thing I possibly could and I stopped the motors while I was all the way up at almost max height I think. Didn't manage to re-engage them before it fell into straight concrete. Darn. I hope I get a replacement soon but the delays have me worried.

This drone is actually amazing for beginners! The tracking is amazing and does a decent job avoiding things while it follows. It's not perfect but the drones is tough enough and can take a beating even if it does bump into something. Some cons with the drone is that it only comes with the drone itself and a battery. No carrying case, controller, or extra batteries, so you will have to invest a little more if you want max out this units fullest potential. Good news is you can still manually control this drone with your smartphone. It's not as great as using a real controller, but if all you're doing is taking pictures or getting a nice view, using your smartphone will get the job done. 1 last bonus for this drone is it's flies EXTREMELY well indoors. So if weathers bad and you wanna just fly it around your bedroom or living room, you can absolutely do so safely. It's even more steady than toy drones I've bought that were specifically designed to be flown indoors. To close out, this is one of the most versatile drones on the market at one of the most budget friendly prices.

Everytime you search drones, there will be a tsunami of variety Amazon has but this DJI NEO is the one that is the showstopper of all those drones.

If you want a good drone that you don’t need a permit for, this is the one. I’ve flown the cheaper drowns and they are hard to control. This one has presets anyone can use. The video shows Rocket mode.

The video quality is better than expected and once I got through experimenting with the controls and settings it was able to keep up with the different speeds we moving at. I do wish the battery life pushed another 10-15 minutes but that’s about the only down side.

A good little guy! This purchase includes the drone itself. The prop guards (pre installed) and the battery. You need to purchase the remote controller if you want to use it farther then just 110 feet (50 meters) if you want to buy FPV equipment, it cost $328 for the Goggles N3 and Motion Controller 3, battery's cost $39. Good drone for people who are new to both categorys, FPV and it's training you for the future if you plan to use drones.to make money! Even DJI is training new pilots!

I am extremely happy with this drone. For reference, I had the original DJI FPV drone which I dropped an insane amount of money on (full regret), with the gen 2 goggles, hard shell case, extra batteries, props, etc.. All told we are talking well over $1400 (I know I know).

My main reason for switching to the neo is size. I wanted to be able to throw a drone in a carry on or in my ultralight go-pack for a weekend solo backpacking trip. I also wanted to be able to pluck the drone out of the air with my bare hands without having to worry that a gust of wind was going to result in my losing a finger. This drone complete with a charger, anker battery brick, extra battery, extra props, and a few tools, all fits in the LKTOP carrying case no problem and weighs basically nothing as far as I'm concerned. For ultralight backpacking, I will fly this exclusively with my phone. The fact that it can also be used as an FPV drone is incredible (unfortunately it does NOT work with the original DJI FPV goggles or controller (gen2), which is a real bummer for me).

battery charges from an anker battery brick in about 2 minutes, so I really do think that the triple battery set and charger is way overkill. By the time you finish flying with one battery, the other battery will be basically fully charged and ready to go. I am not a hollywood director, so the 4k at 30 FPS is more than good enough for me.

The neo sits in that beautiful niche of ultralight recon drone. I am extremely, extremely happy with it, and the $200 price point is honestly a steal. The one thing I am really not a fan of is the DJI fly app and the fact that on android you have to download it from the DJI website and turn off all sorts of security to use it. That is a serious concern of mine, and for that I nearly removed one star.... But in terms of hardware, the softwares functionality (not security), and the joy of using this thing.... hard to beat. I already accidentally flew it into some tree branches and it was none the worse for wear.

Next up is to get the FPV goggles and motion controller but the goggles are being price gouged by almost 100% by some sellers!

I can’t say enough about the Neo. Considering its size and its price, combined with all of its features it’s an absolute monster! Super easy to fly, and has several performance modes to give your video a more polished look. It’s little a little louder than I would expect coming from such a small drone. You definitely need more than one battery though. I also recommend getting the controller.

The Neo arrived earlier than the delivery date indicated which was a nice surprise. I found the little drone to be very well packaged (think premium smart phone level packaging). Be sure to have a USB-C charging block for the drone batteries. I charged mine up and followed the instructions online. DJI has some great tutorials on YouTube. The unit worked just as advertised. You'll need to download the DJI Fly app for your phone to activate the Neo before the first flight. Using the app, settings can be changed to suit preferences. I bought the Goggles 3 and the Controller 3 and am learning to fly via FPV. A great product!

Lo que no me gustó fue la forma en que DJI lo comercializó. Anunción un fly more combo que no apareció en los sitios on line. Lo único que pude conseguir es uno con 3 baterías. Tengo la impresión que la demanda los superó y se fueron al Flip que es un poco más grande y tiene muchas más opciones, excepto el FPV que yo, casi no lo usaría.

Battery life is low. You will need extra batteries. ~10-18 minutes.
AI controller-less features work great.
Small enough to stuff in pocket.

On board storage is low, make sure to periodically clear it out.
RC-N2 works well for better range. Otherwise range is roughly one block using cell phone.

Much slower than drone flight videos you see online. Top speed is basically their slow cinematic video speed.

Finally got it working. Simple affordable starter for drones.

Edit: power went from full charge to half drained doing nothing while I tried to figure out how to get the app installed. Totally unacceptable.

Edit: finally activated after endless insane do this do that, even a tutorial that can't be found only to have it shut off forced due to "overheating" while literally doing nothing but sitting there with the power on. Even before activation.
Complete utter garbage trolling again. These guys should be punished for wasting my time, let alone the utter disrespect involved.

Requires side loading the app, past warnings of being out of date, arrived late and required a huge wait, and the app itself requires too many permissions and security hoops as well as requiring you to register an account through their app just to activate the drone.

Frustrating par for the course trolling using Apple ecosystem to put things out of reach and mocking life struggles for what reason I do not know

I own DJI offerings from all points of their price range. They each do their jobs and meet/exceed expectations. The Neo is no different. This thing is sooo much fun. Highly recommend this for young/old, new/experienced pilots. I feel like people poo-poo its camera, non expandable internal storage, blah blah blah. This isn’t for them. This is for someone that wants more fun with some utility. The buy-in is low and I think it still over delivers. I grabbed one for flying around the house (with rc-n2) over the winter, but I’ve ended up flying it all over any chance I get.
A couple things to consider though:
Flight time (on the gas) is maybe 13/14 minutes TOPS. Flying against the wind:closer to 10.
Speaking of wind..at only 135g the Neo can’t handle too much.
This drone requires a bit of light to maintain stable flight characteristics. Daylight is best..and I’ve never had any issues flying outside. You can still cruise around indoors with enough ambient light or by attaching a bright downward facing light.

As a novice drone operator I don't have any other experience to compare it to but I don't see how flying others can be any better than the DJI NEO! Most if not all of the connection and recording glitches were user error and not the fault of the NEO. I just wish I had bought the package instead of one accessory at a time. But as I started flying it more and more I understood the need for the RC, extra batteries with fast charger and I might be purchasing the googles next. I'm 70 years old and a caregiver for my S.O. so getting out and about is a rare treat. This gives me freedom on my surrounding property from a different perspective that makes the mundane view a new experience if that makes sense. I'm also a ham radio operator and this little drone allows me to check my antennae connections at 60' mainly after one of our south Florida storms without having to lower the tower. Are you listening to me fellow operators?!! I rarely give reviews especially long ones. This little guy has thoroughly impressed me. And the service after the sale was excellent also. Not much luck with calling them but they are very responsive and accommodating with their chat feature. I've only had it a week now so as for the durability that will have to be reviewed at a later time but I really don't see anything to worry about. This thing is built to take it. And the YT reviewers I've watched have put it though some really tough tests. The small price is definitely worth the experience!

Let me tell you. This little thing is so much fun. I can't even express you. How much fun it is until you get one? I have been flying mine almost every day since I've gotten it. I feel I won't put it down. You keep wanting to challenge yourself more and more and develop your skill into a drone pilot, and this is that opening gate to it.
With modes that help you to stay balanced and level In normal and then when you get better and normal, you can advance to sport and pick up the Pace and I personally, I've been flying in a simulator to practice go into manual mode and it has been the best experience ever better than video games better than VR. In my personal opinion. You cannot go wrong with this. As a gift for any adventurous person that let's take in photography and play video games

What, you mean this is actually a $330 drone? Well, yeah. At $200 it works, and works well, but you don't get the full feature set. If you get the $130 controller that DJI sells, it will wake this drone up and make it much more usable and fun. Of course you can go all out and spend $500 for the goggles, and another $200 for the two controllers that really open this drone up to some real flying. But at that point, I'd suggest going with the Avata 2 instead.

Overall though, for a cheap start to droning, this guy is a great choice. Fantastic video, easy controls, some nice features that others don't have (missing a few they have though....) But still, this is a great start for those who want to dip thier toes before jumping in. And, after you jump in, this little guy will still come out of your bag of drones once in a while to do some things you wouldn't want your more expensive drones to do.

Only negative to me is the super short battery life. I've never achieved over 10 mins flight. As light as this drone is, I think DJI could find a way to make a battery that's at least a little bit bigger. 15 mins real world flight time would be a big plus.

I had to figure out how to download and install the app on android as its necessary to activate neo using the app. don't be afraid to restart the process of connecting to the drone or installing firmware, it works it just might need a retry. Once done, you can put the phone in your pocket and then let neo take the shots, its easy and i am pleasantly surprised by the color and quality of the video. I only took photos inside and they do not look particularly good but you will be able to take some shots that are impossible with your phone so all in all very satisfied. Battery does not last long but enough to do all the quickshots at least once, charging takes 1 hour. Its good enough for the clips while travelling or hiking. By the way when used without smartphone no sound is recorded which is fine as it is a bit loud while flying. You can record sound on your smartphone on the app, but i plan to keep the phone as much as possible out of view to take more natural family clips. I am happy and can't wait till daylight to use it again!! (do not use when its dark it can't see and therefore does not fly well without light)

This drone is amazing. I’ve owned several DJI drones in the past and they were always intuitive and offered high-quality video. However, they lacked in terms of quick shots, controller-less functionality and (to some extent) portability. Not this one.

I received my Neo today and was shocked at how truly tiny it is. I charged it up, connected it to the DJI Fly app, and updated the firmware within just a few minutes. Took some test flights in my loft and I was pleased with how easy it was to control the drone with my iPhone. Then I took it out cycling.

The Neo fit comfortably in my small USWE cycling backpack. I took it to a park a few miles away and tested all the quick shots, including follow-me (which is great, but has roughly a 13mph limit). The footage was fantastic, even in a light breeze. I got about 20 quick-shot flights out the battery, and when I got home it was easy to connect to the drone wirelessly via the DJI Fly app, and download the videos to my iPhone. Slick!

I’m looking forward to bringing this little drone with me on loads of cycling / ski trips. I also ordered an RC-N3 controller so I can bring it sailing and fly it like a traditional drone. I previously had one of the new HoverAir drones on pre-order and I’m so happy I canceled in favor of the Neo. It’s half the price and far more capable. You won’t regret buying this one.

I bought my first drone so I could get some video from the air when needed. I have been blown away. I did crash it on my 2nd flight, but I was low-level and in between 2 houses (learning experience). I use it almost daily to get sunset shots and videos, as I live in Central Florida and our sunsets are fantastic! Then I used it to check on my house's and neighbors' roofs. It stays where you want it and it goes where you guide it. Yes, a spotter is helpful if you are around trees, houses and power lines. You do get focused on the images and can lose sight of safety issues that may crop up.
I would recommend this as a starter/recreational drone. I am sitting video in 2.7K as YouTube will convert down anything larger. The 2.7K video and freeze-frames are very high quality. If you need to make prints, then take the digital snapshot so you get the large digital photo file.
I attached a sample flight from my testing phase. I went up to a construction site, stood in a parking lot and moved it around to see how it reacts. I am confident that it will go where I send it and do what I want with it.
I did send it down a golf course hole and lost sight for a minute, so I hit the return to home button and it came back in sight. Still getting used to all the features and items on the phone app like the map feature and recording modes.
The bottom line, it is a great starter drone with GPS. It is Stable, Goes where you want it, and is a great resource for photographers and videographers. Could probably do more but I don't want to test the distance and height limits. I had it up about 35 to 40 meters and it got these great sunset shots. BUY IT!

Used my drone near an airport. Got a warning that I accept responsibility for flying it in a warning area. I usually don't take it higher than 115 feet. A medical helicopter flew overhead. They were approx 400 feet AGL and I don't think I could have reached them. Love this drone and I find ways to use it every week!
