It fits the sofa bed as described, wished it was a little thicker, I haven’t tried it yet it’s in my RV but should be better than the old spring mattress. Time will tell, I will use a pillow topper on it for extra comfort as I did with the old original mattress. Only four stars for now because it fit, was as advertised and the quality appears to be ok.

So far I think this mattress is a huge improvement over the box spring mattress that it replaced, I haven’t had it long enough to know how well it will hold up as a long term item.

Based upon the reviews I chose this mattress to replace the original mattress with internal springs etc, It fit fine and did not prevent the spread fan from closing easily.

This mattress fits perfectly in my teardrop trailer, and I’ve slept on it dozens of times since purchasing it 1.5 years ago. It’s really a phenomenal value; we sleep even better in the trailer than we do in the actual bed. It’s a bit firm, so I recently added a thin layer of foam on top, but it’s been more than adequate by itself. I would absolutely buy it for a sofa bed or anywhere else.

This mattress would appeal to the widest set of people. Feels like a springy futon. It folds easily into the sofa and doesn't need a topper unless you like more of a plush feel. It's as good as it gets in a sofa sleeper sitch.

I'm an interior designer and I just had a sofabed made to order by my upholsterer. I purchased this to put inside, rather than using the cheap ones that come with the mechanism and I'm so glad I did! It feels like a high end mattress. My guests love it as it feels very luxurious and not at all like sleeping on a pullout sofa. worth every penny!

The mattress works well and is a decent thickness. It is almost too thick for my sofa bed because the top part of the mattress seems to curl up a little. However I slept on this for a few days and got a good nights sleep. P.S. I didn’t notice a smell.

This is a great replacement mattress for a sofa sleeper. It is for in our motorhome and was told by the RV dealer that the sofa sleeper was a queen size. Unfortunately, it is a full size. I had to return it but am sad because it is a very well made memory foam mattress with a waterproof removable cover that can be machine washed. I will continue looking on Amazon for another, but in a full size. Amazon and the seller, HOME WISE were wonderful in solving my problem, especially Miquel from HOME WISE. I was able to donate the mattress to a charity since it was brand new and received a full credit.

I purchased a blow-up mattress for my Lazy-Boy hide-away sofa. 1 year later it has a hole and I decided to replaced with this. Best decision my far! The dimension are correct as listed but it isn't the dimension of a queen size mattress. Queen size dimension are 60 x 80. This is more of a full size dimension that are 54 x 75. I would have knocked it down a star if I was looking for a queen size mattress given the queen size listing but the dimensions it was listed for is what I wanted.

Item arrived sealed in plastic but had a spot in the cover. I’d rather it didn’t come already stained but it looked like something that happened in factory while packaging or something and it is minimal. Also, the cover is washable and I was covering it with a mattress pad and sheets so I wasn’t too concerned. I opened the zipper and let it sit for three days to fully expand. Then I zipped the cover and put the bed away. Took a minor bit of wrestling to get it folded into the sofa the first time, second time much easier. My parents slept on for 5 nights and said it was very comfortable. I’ll try to remember to update after time/use have shown it’s longevity.

I spent a ton of money for a comfortable sleeper loveseat, elsewhere, only for the box spring mattress to be AWFUL. After 2 months I knew i needed something better in way of a replacement mattress. This was ranked #2, & costed less. The difference is like night & day. I can already feel relief in my aching joints. The box was beat up, (fo better), but the mattress was tightly shrink wrapped, & was 1/2 in thinner than the box spring, but because of the memory foam, made putting the bed back in easier, & the sofa firmer & smoother to sit on. It came with a cutter. Oh my stars! I feel better already!

I was in a jam to make a first floor bedroom for my 85 year old mother to visit. She had no complaints sleeping on this for a week. She said it was a Huge improvement from the upgraded Sealy mattress I had previously. 2 of my adult kids have slept on it and feel like it is the most comfortable sofa bed ever! No Bars in your back! I wanted to buy a bed, but ran out of time (& money). I moved my Queen sleeper couch into the den. Threw the old mattress out & replaced with this. It came a day late, which was a bit of a problem, but very grateful that I made this purchase. I have another newer sofa bed in family room that I recently slept on with a traditional upgraded sofa bed mattress and this is much more comfortable!!! Best I've experienced on any sofa bed. One idea too, would be to add a mattress topper for an elderly guest (likely have to remove to close sofa), but not required. I was thinking I would have to but, we did fine without.

Measure your frame! We have a queen size and this mattress is too small -- I didn't measure my frame beforehand and trusted the "queen size" so I'm not deducting from the rating because that was my fault. This is just a word of caution to everyone else. Expensive mistake.

That being said, it is significantly more comfortable than the mattress that came with the bed. I can feel where the bar is, but it is very minimal and so much better than before. I think this is a great purchase and it was worth the money. It is a tight squeeze to fold back up, but it does fold back up.

I needed to replace the mattress in the sofa bed in my Airbnb rental. I read the reviews before purchasing this one. It arrived rolled in a box and I was concerned that it would end up flat as I have had foam products that did not. The "opener" tool was excellent for opening the packaging without risk of cutting the mattress. It instantly rolled out flat! I allowed the 24 hours for it to expand. This mattress is great. When you lay on it it is slightly firm (in a comfortable way). You do not feel the bars in the sofa bed. It was a bit of a tight fit when I closed up the bed but I know my guests will enjoy the new mattress. I do not notice any odor. I highly recommend this mattress.

I needed to replace the mattress in our 1980s sofa. This is a great item. Its very comfortable. We don't feel the springs through it like we did the old one.

Other people have pointed out that the measurements are different the ones they had before. It measured 1in small on the width and 1in longer on the length. It still fits perfectly well on the frame and folds up well. We were even able to fold it with sheets and blankets, when our guests were staying multiple nights, with no issues.

We let it fluff out for a few days before we put it in the sofa but that was because my toddlers were having fun rolling around on it. It was fully expanded after one night.

If you need a new mattress for a sleeper, this is a great choice.

I bought this for a hide-a-bed to replace the original mattress that was about 15 years old, and I was amazed how comfortable it was. I highly recommend this mattress, despite the higher price point.

I arrived home after a busy day and my new hide a bed mattress had arrived at my doorstep. I opened the box immediately to remove the mattress and used the handy cutter that came with it to slice open the bag without harming the mattress. I didn’t remove it from the plastic bag because the mattress is for the hide a bed at my camp but I wanted to see how comfortable it was before lugging it 80 miles up there. I noticed that it inflated to size moments after slicing open the plastic bag, it measured over 4” when I checked. I decided to put a blanket over the plastic and then laid down to test its comfort, two hours later I woke up; I didn’t mean to fall asleep! It definitely passed the comfort test on my living room floor so hopefully it will be as wonderful on my hide a bed. You get a full size hide a bed memory foam mattress in the box with a removable, washable cover that zips, and a safety cutting blade.

This mattress has good support and fairly comfortable.
It is 4 1/2” thick and a bit hard to fold into sofa bed base. With some effort , it worked.
If it was 4” only, it would be better fit for sofa beds .overall, it is worth the money

When I got the mattress I was excited. I used it once or twice but noticed it wasn't getting any bigger. I realized that I ordered the wrong size and now I would have to return it. There were no issues requesting a return. Very punctual with my request. The problem is that since it expands it no longer fits in a box. I've been struggling with it ever since. Definitely my oopsie but it's not very easy returning such things. Double check the sizing your getting ! Overall it's nice. It's obviously not very thick it's not meant to be but this one was the thickest I could find and it works as intended. The only thought I had was that it was maybe more pricey than other ones but it does have a nice quality to it.

I have a two bedroom and two teenagers...I gave up my room so they can have their own space. I sleep on the sofa sleeper in the living room EVERY NIGHT so I had to find something that would make my sleep as comfortable as possible. This is a must-have even for occasional use. I actually purchased a bar guard (Meliusly Sleeper Sofa Support Board, also from Amazon) and I use a gel mattress topper. In combination with those things, the sofa bed is as comfortable as a regular bed. The mattress is a little thicker than the original mattress but it fold up nicely. It's also about two inches longer but that's not an issue either. I can't fold up the mattress topper with it so I have to remove it and store it separately but it's totally worth it. I did a lot of research for a replacement mattress and actually my old mattress wasn't really that bad but I wanted the best comfort I could get. I also didn't want to spend a lot of money. This is a great mattress for the price. I'm so glad I didn't go with a more expensive mattress because this one is great.

We purchased this mattress to put on top of the original mattress that came in the sofa bed because the original mattress did not give enough support and you felt like you were sleeping on a bar. The memory foam mattress works great and the combination of the two is like being on a regular mattress! The only issue is that that new memory foam mattress is smaller than a regular queen size it is the same length but is small in width. So that is the only reason I rated it down one star as far as value for the money. we have tried using it without the other mattress in place and I think it works fine and give good support but the two together work fantastic. The only down part is you have to store one or the other because together they are to thick to fold up the sofa bed into the sofa itself. I would recommend this mattress if anyone is looking for a replacement or addition like we use it.

Makes my old sofa bed feel as comfortable as a regular bed. My son gave this to me as a birthday gift to use in my small pied-à-terre NYC studio apartment. (He probably had an ulterior motive since he and his girlfriend occasionally use the apartment when they come in from out-of-town and mentioned that the old mattress was uncomfortable!) It was delivered free by FedEx within in 9 days coming from California. Since it was vacuum packed, the box was only about 4 feet tall and 1 foot wide (which another reviewer pointed out before I purchased it). My old mattress was 72" x 59". This one is slightly longer than advertised at about 72.5" (which was no problem in fitting my frame since the foam compresses a bit making for a perfect fit) but only 58" wide. However, this 1" difference is not a problem. The small space on the width of the frame is hardly noticeable. Furthermore it's no problem at all when sitting on the side of the mattress, say to get up or put on your shoes, since the foam is nice and firm. One of my concerns was that since my old mattress was only 4" thick and this one is 4.5", I might have a problem closing the bed. To my surprise it closed fine. The best feature is that you don't feel the support bars of the frame AT ALL! A great added feature is that it comes with a no-skid, washable zippered mattress cover for extra protection and comfort. All in all, this was a great buy. We'll see how well it holds up in the long run.

Have an older sofa bed I keep in the TV room for when I have overflow guests. Original mattress (innerspring?) was basically shot (and was really uncomfortable from day one). Was searching for a replacement mattress and saw this one on Amazon...thought I'd give it a try. Unpacked according to directions provided and let it 'expand to full size' for 3 days. Installed it into the sofa. On the mattress support 'frame' on this couch, there is a slightly elevated horizontal metal rail that holds the head of the mattress in place and a heavy 'U" shaped bracket at the foot that keeps the 'foot' of the mattress in place. I think the original mattress may have been 72" long and this mattress is 73" long and it makes for a 'snug' fit. I bought a mattress protector/cover for the new mattress as well as a set of sheets (both were 'specific' to the dimensions for sofa-bed mattresses). With the mattress pad and sheets 'on' the new mattress, it is a little 'thick' and I have to make sure the head of mattress is in place or it will not retract into the base of the couch. So far, so good...just waiting for the first opportunity I get for one of my 'guests' to try it out.

I bought this queen sofa bed mattress to replace the old spring mattress on a 30 year old sofa bed we have in our Airbnb. We shopped for a new sofa bed but quickly realized it just wasn't in the budget. After seeing there is really no difference in the design of the bed frame in an old vs new sofa bed we opted to just by a new mattress. As you can see from the picture this mattress is the same width as the old blue spring mattress but is a few inches longer and just a tad thicker. There is a space on the sides between the frame and the mattress but there was a space with the old mattress as well. Not only does it fold up in the couch but it folds up with ease even after I added the encasement cover pictured, the mattress pad, and the fitted sheet onto the mattress. I haven't slept on it but the few minutes I tried it out it's definitely more comfortable than the old mattress. I could not feel the bars like I did with the old one. I'm excited to offer this comfortable upgrade to the sofa bed for our guests.
