Product Description

Looking for more ways to circulate air?

Tips: When oscillation function is activated during use, the pedestal fan will automatically reset to its initial state after being turned off.
Bring comfort, not noise.

Don’t stress about the energy bill.

Just say the magic word!

The app adds another level of customization, allowing you to fine-tune settings right from your phone. It also connected to Wi-Fi and Alexa effortlessly, making smart control a breeze.
The noise level is perfectly acceptable—quiet on lower settings and only noticeably louder on Turbo, which is expected given the power.
Highly recommend to anyone looking for a feature-rich, elegant fan that performs just as well as it looks.
I highly recommend this product. It's not loud. Great investment. Just buy it, you'll be glad you did, worth the cost by far!
The second time, I chose the 513S, which has a slightly wider vertical angle — I believe around 105 degrees. Unfortunately, I bought a used unit, and it arrived missing the base screws and the remote control, making it unusable. So once again, I had to return it.
That said, I really like their app, so I still plan to purchase from this brand again. Hopefully next time I’ll receive a unit that meets all my expectations.
For starters, yes I need the WiFi. I loose remotes like it’s the thing to do… but having it WiFi, laying down, I can direct cooling directly to my face… not only that, but it’s for real a silent fan.. an important quality because my wife complaints nonstop if any sounds come from my side of the bed.
It’s powerful, and overall I can’t recommend this enough.
Most importantly to me, it is *quiet*! I bought this to replace a Vornado OSCR37AE tower fan, which also oscillates side-to-side and has Alexa control--but the biggest problem with it is that it rattles. Softly at first, but over time, it just gets noisier. I've gone through three of these Vornados (two of them, warranty replacements--at least the warranty is good, 5 years [compared to 1 year for the Dreo]), and they're all the same. I'm putting the Vornado away because, from the moment I turned it on, the Dreo has been wonderful. Quiet? I barely know it's there. And you know what? It even *looks* better than the Vornado.
I've been a Vornado fan-boy (pun completely intended) for many, many years. I even still have an older Vornado pedestal fan on the opposite side of the room, for when I want to feel a breeze from both sides.
I've only had it for a few days, but as if you couldn't tell, I enthusiastically recommend the Dreo PF513S.
I know it's more expensive than regular fans, but I guarantee it, if you buy this fan, you will appreciate its functionality long after you forgotten the extra money you spent on it.
By the way, I don't work for this company and I was not provided anything for this review. It's just a truly fantastic product.
since about 2010. I now have to include this Dreo fan in the top 4 products I own that will likely last for many years.
Update 6-19-25. Have been running
this fan continually (other than turning off when working night shift).
In fact, a little over a week ago, I turned the A/C up to 75°F rather than 72°F because this fan keeps the front of my apartment so comfortable - even at Level 2 -3 fan speeds. Several had commented how quiet the Dreo runs and one person said it was more like a "breeze" on the lower levels. I find both statements to be true. (The Dreo pushes a lot of air at all levels.)
I considered the performance I've personally seen, and instead of moving the fan between areas, I purchased the Dreo CF714S Air Circulator (tabletop model) on 6-13-25 for the bedroom. However, I quickly decided to use it in the front of the apartment because it's even more powerful than the Dreo Pedestal model (which is now in the bedroom). And the table model is just as quiet.
The money was well spent on high quality, quiet fans that are seeing a lot of daily use. Since they have vertical as well as horizontal oscillation, l'll still use them in cold weather to force warm air down from the ceiling.
Looking forward to receiving the electric bill since the A/C now runs less often. It's a win-win.
But this fan is just amazing
The air flow is comparable to a 20 inch high velocity fan I have one and about 15 feet away this little quiet fan is pushing the same air it's very surprising with its size and the fact it's so quiet I mean a standard window air conditioner is louder than this fan on turbo this fan has the smoothest white noise it doesn't sound like a turbine jet a air plane it sounds so easy to the ears
Plus all the features with the app is just insane I've ran this fan daily all day and night for nearly 4 months and not a single problem I usually have it in fan speed 4 me and my wife stay in a double car garage and the fan sits on the other side of the room by the air conditioner and even on speed 1 we feel it speed 4 is a steady breeze speed 6 is like a stormy day and turbo is just a straight up blower
All I got to say is if your in a big room and need a fan that will cool you off and don't want the noise I highly recommend this fan
Plus it's a beautiful design and very sturdy I have pets roaming around and this thing sits in place
This thing functions great almost immediately out of the box. It has plenty of power to supply air to every corner of the room with it's 120⁰ of horizontal oscillation. It also has up to 105⁰ of vertical oscillation, so it can move the air nearly anywhere. It, like nearly all things in today's world, is made mainly out of plastic that seems to be very durable and easy to clean. I don't use the remote as much as my phone, but I expect it's battery life will be long.
In all, I would recommend this fan to anyone looking to add to the server expanding world of wireless controls through your phone. I hope this review made sense because I don't usually get things that far exceed my expectations.
Second, having both horizontal AND vertical automatic oscillation is fantastic. Typically fans will have horizontal only. The range of motion is excellent, and can cover the entire room.
Third, and this is my favorite part: It's SO EASY to quickly remove and clean the front/rear grills and blades. Again, that other Vendor circulator, and others, use deep recessed screws, clamps, and sometimes hex screws. Making disassembly and cleaning a PITA. Not this fan. 1 small and easily accessible screw for each grill, and the blades use a simple screw-on clamp. You can remove the grills and blades, wipe or rinse them clean, and reassemble it in 5-7 minutes.
If you get one of the S (smart) variants (and you should!) you'll be able to install their app, which gives you full remote control and much finer control and tuning than the included IR remote. The IR remote only replicates the on-board functions. Screenshots included of most app functions.
The on-board controls are on the circulator housing, and are touch sensitive. I do wish the color scheme for the controls were higher contrast to the housing plastic, but it's reasonable enough, and I use the app control 99% of the time. I've yet to ever use the IR remote.
Historically, my wife has preferred buying inexpensive fans from big box stores. However, after going through several of them over just a tear—sometimes needing replacement within a few months—I grew weary of the constant cycle of buying and disposing of subpar products. I decided it was time to splurge on a quality fan, and I can confidently say that I have no regrets about this investment.
From the moment we started using this 100ft quiet circulating standing fan, it became clear that it was a cut above the rest. Our previous fans were notoriously loud, which forced us to crank up the volume on the TV just to hear our shows. Plus, we often faced issues with oscillation malfunctioning or other technical problems cropping up. In stark contrast, this fan has been a game-changer for us. After three full months of testing and daily use, especially during the night, we've genuinely enjoyed a noticeable difference.
The fan's wind velocity, distribution, and coverage capabilities are unmatched compared to any other fan we have bought or tested. Its ability to circulate air is phenomenal, effectively cooling or heating the room while evenly distributing the HVAC air throughout the space, which has made our environment vastly more comfortable and enjoyable.
One of the standout features that I love about this fan is its app control. As someone who enjoys indulging in hot baths, I found it rather inconvenient to keep asking my wife to bring me the fan when I forgot to set it up. However, with this fan conveniently positioned by the bathroom door, I can easily grab my phone, open the app, and direct the fan exactly where I need it for a quick cooldown. This feature has truly enhanced my bathing experience, allowing me to adjust the airflow with ease.
The app itself is exceptionally well-designed—it's user-friendly, intuitive, and responds quickly to commands. Even the controls on the fan are incredibly sensitive; a light touch is all that’s needed to operate them. The fan has been designed with cleanliness in mind, featuring a sleek aesthetic that avoids grooves and crevices where dust and dirt can accumulate. Cleaning has become a breeze; I simply blow out the small holes above each function to keep it tidy.
On November 29, 2024, I decided to give the fan its first cleaning and am impressed with the low amount of debris on the fan covers and blade (see pictures). Cleaning this fan is easier than most standard fans. The process was impressively straightforward. I needed to remove two screws, one for each blade cover. With a simple twist, I took off the covers, removed the fan blades, and washed them along with the blade covers using a mild cleaner. I then rinsed everything with a garden hose. Once the parts were dry, I cleaned the rest of the fan with a terry cloth towel and put it back together. To my delight, it looks as pristine as the day we first unboxed it. The finish on this fan and its components is strikingly beautiful, adding an elegant touch to our home decor.
While I could elaborate further on each feature and characteristic, the bottom line is that we love this modern smart fan more than words can express and we have purchased or received and tested as an honest product tester many fans through the years. In fact, our child was so enamored with it that he requested one for Christmas, and we’ve already purchased one for him! As a gamer, his room tends to get quite hot, and this fan does a fantastic job of keeping both the room and his computer cool. I cannot recommend this product highly enough—it's truly deserving of a five-star rating! Great product, DREO!
During the daytime, I typically set it to oscillate horizontally and vertically, so it moves the air around the room, and it really helps to keep the room nice and cool. There's not a single spot in the whole room where the air stays still all day.
The fact that this fan is wifi connected and has an app was a big factor in my decision to buy it, since I already have a pretty large collection of smart devices and was able to integrate this pretty easily. The app is one of the better thought-out smart home device apps I've seen, but not without its flaws. It's very easy to get the fan setup and connected to your wifi, and there are lots of options waiting for you once you do, including the ability to point the fan wherever you need, remotely. The included physical remote does not have this functionality. It's a very simple, "power, fan-speed, oscillation on/off" remote, so the app is your friend if you want to control exactly where this fan points without physically moving it.
The fan is so good, I actually bought a second one for my office, to replace a "dumb" Dreo tower fan. It's working great, and keeps the air in my office moving 10x better than the tower fan ever could, however, upon setting it up in the app I noticed a strange inconsistency it and the original fan in the bedroom. The firmware on this new one is significantly newer, and offers features that the original one does not, however I can't update the firmware of the original one to match it. The newer fan allows you to manipulate the horizontal and vertical positioning in a sort of 3D way, whereas the original one does not.
Additionally, when connected to Home Assistant, the new fan exposes a horizontal and vertical rotation entity that allows you to not only change them in realtime, but use them in scripts, automations, and scenes, which is fantastic. Unfortunately, this only works with the more recently purchased one, and not the slightly older one, despite them being the exact same model.
Pros:
- Moves a TON of air when it's on the Turbo setting
- Nearly silent on lower settings ( fan speed <6 )
- Smart home integrations with Alexa, Google, Home Assistant, and probably more
- Easy to use, and well thought out app for remote control
Cons:
- Physical remote is basically useless except for turning it on, and changing the fan speed
- Firmware version between 2 separate units of the same model is vastly different (V1.2.23_0.1.1 vs V3.2.4_1.0.0), meaning features will vary depending which one you get. I'd really like some feedback from the manufacturer on this one, since it should be an easy fix.
Overall, this is a great fan, and it's well worth the price, especially if you can get it on a sale.
